It’s time for summer to remind us why our patios are the real reason we put our heads down and just let Winter roll over us.

It’s always a good idea to remember the climate in Toronto; if you plan to have your patio furniture occupy its place year round, it’s critical to consider how your choice will fare exposed to the considerable weather variance this city experiences.

First, take stock of the dimensions of your patio and plan for the number of chairs, tables, recliners etc. that you’d like, and remember that even a large space can seem crowded if there isn’t enough room to move comfortably around without bumping into something or someone.

Know what it is that you want to use the space for; relaxing, partying, barbecuing, as a family centric gathering place.  This will help you to find the proper décor to match your patio’s needs.

Next, think about the materials.  Molded plastic is by far the most economical option, with a huge variety of styles, colors and forms (rigid, flexible, lightweight, solid, folding etc), they can be a surprisingly cool addition to any patio area at an affordable price.
