Last time my family was on the patio we had filled up the paddling pool again for our dog whose a husky/malamute, I didn’t want to but the kids insisted. We just sat down to eat supper, enjoy our last deck meal when our dog came and jumped and rubbed herself all over while soaking wet, then it rained and the meal was ruined, I was yelling then crying.. it was one of those moments I can laugh about now haha we needed the rain and it helped with the humidity but we were still sad for the season to be over!

The last time I was on a patio, we had a family BBQ to celebrate my husband’s life. It had been 5 years since he passed away and our plans for an outdoor BBQ turned into an indoor BBQ. It rained and rained. Yuck! As the day progressed – my hopes of being outside dwindling, the clouds parted and the sun came out. A beautiful rainbow appeared over the horizon and we were able to move our celebration out onto the patio! We listened to music, told stories and laughed until the sun went down. As the evening began to set upon my home, guests slowly left one by one – a few remained. We continued out on the patio enjoying the evening skies until we finally went to bed.

I had the SHOCK OF MY LIFE the last time I was on a patio! I was up north at a cottage on Georgian Bay. It had been raining for days, so no one had even stepped outside. Finally, we had a warm, sunny day. So I went out on the patio to open the patio umbrella, which was closed but not tied up. I just about had a heart attack when literally DOZENS OF BATS immediately flew out before my eyes. Because the umbrella hadn’t been tied up, they had found this lovely, warm, protected spot to sleep. I will never leave a patio umbrella untied again!!!!! LOVE the look of this Ravi Cantilever Patio Umbrella from Velago. How amazing that you can angle it in so many different positions. I also love that it’s so large, thus giving so much protection. And I also like that it doesn’t interfere with the centre of the table. I like to use tablecloths and put flowers in the centre of the table (and candles in the evening), but can’t do this with an umbrella which comes up the middle. And of course a centred umbrella can only really provide shade when the sun is immediately overhead. This cantilevered umbrella, on the other hand, can be positioned to provide shade all day long. LOVE IT! Fingers crossed!
I was on my patio last fall racing around and trying to separate my patio umbrella from its base as we had a terrible wind storm going on. I had pressed the lever with my hands and had to tug and tug to get it to release from the base. The umbrella was already open and when I finally managed to get it to release from the base….. the wind snapped the umbrella down around me. I am a tiny thing and it managed to lock me inside of it. I had to yell for my husband. He ran outside to find me on the ground with only my feet sticking out of the umbrella. He laughed and laughed the entire time he was trying to free me from its grip. Ahhh… memories.

Was on the patio with my family and it was a calm and sunny day. My kids were playing with their sand box when a gust of wind came and toppled over our free standing patio umbrella! Bent the pole and now the lever can’t slide up far enough to open the umbrella. We’re sad as nice weather is approaching and we don’t have a replacement umbrella yet.
Yesterday I was on my patio enjoying the sunshine with my dogs. Had a chat with my next-door neighbour about our roofing options. Not very exciting but that is what happened the last time I was on a patio!

I just finally got out on our patio this week – the snow finally melted. It felt so great to feel that warm sun again. Now it’s time to spruce up that patio – perhaps a new umbrella could do that!!
Sometimes umbrellas do not help. Last summer I was sitting on the patio at a table under an umbrella and a bird came flying toward us from the side. I looked just in time to see a big lump of bird poop flying toward my head. I ducked just in time but it hit my friend squarely in the chest!

Amazing. After an unusual stretch of snow, more snow and seemingly never-ending SNOW this winter in Calgary, the sun suddenly came out, the grounds melted and voila…I could finally sit on my patio! Today, it’s 23 degrees. I love to sit out here. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I could use an umbrella to shade me from the heat! Sigh.

Last time I was sitting on our patio I ended up having a chipmunk do a flying leap from my foot. A chipmunk was storing nuts in our patio heater which is an old wood burning stove. I guess it didn’t notice me and leaped from a bench onto my foot, which startled me so I jumped – that poor chipmunk leaped straight up into the air.

We can not use our patio till after dinner when the sun is not on there. We were out there one day when a huge gust of win took our gazibo. It turned out there was a tornado just outside of town.
Nothing big happened, it was a very nice time, relaxing near the pool and having dinner!

My patio umbrella stand was emptied for the winter . I forgot to refill it. Unfortunately, a swift wind blew the umbrella over onto a garden stake, ripping the umbrella–it was only 2 years old.

This umbrella would solve a lot of problems for us, by providing a large area of shade and not having the base in the way. This makes the complete area of shade usable… Enjoyment without the hassle of having a pole in the middle!

The wind came up and took the umbrella from the stand and away she blows. The loose umbrellas was so large that I assumed when I grabbed onto it I would become Mary Poppins and sail away in the sky. But a man came to my assistance and but the umbrella back in the stand.

Moi c est a mon dernier BBQ sur le patio de ma fille , nous étions tous a table après mangé notre merveilleux Rib steak que j ‘avais pris soin de le faire marinée tous le monde ont commencé a mangé, quand tous d un coup le ciel est devenu noir , ont se regarde tous dans les yeux en se disant ,c est pas vrai pas une tempête comme de fait l orage nous tombe dessus, pas le temps de ramasser nos assiettes comme je suis chanceux je réalise que nous somme assis dans la solarium donc mardeux comme je suis j ai mangé tous les steaks a moi toute seul, les autres ont pas réalisé toute suite que nous étions a l abris dans le solarium, deviné la suite et oui c est une joke c est j aimais arrivé . ha ha ha ma fille a pas de solarium mais aimerais bien gagné ce super parasol Merci

Hi Guys!!
Actually, I don’t remember the last time I was on my patio!! You see, last year I had to have my inground pool removed because it was broken. That was in June 2017. Since then, my backyard looks like a big mud field.
Now that the mud had compacted, I will be able to do the landscaping. That means that I will have a a new patio build and I can’t wait.
That being said, a new umbrella would be so welcome!

My last time I was on my patio, I was thinking that it would be nice to get a patio set with a huge umbrella on my patio to receive familly and friends, and impressed them with this beautiful umbrella.
The last time I was on the patio. I had a verbal encounter with a raccoon. He/She was sitting below the paio eating nice juicy blackberries that I had been patiently waiting to ripen. With no regard for ripeness, the berries were being quickly consumed. I did yell but nothing happened and finally i turned the radio channel to a CBS new report and he/she looked up at a me and sauntered off.

The last time I was on a patio was at my friend’s place. She had some of those battery-operated candles on the table with a pile of people around, drinking and carrying on. One of the guys that she had invited was verrrry drunk and kept trying to light his cigarette with one of those fake candles and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t happening. We all got a kick out of this, and one person taped it for future humiliation. Good times!

When we are at the family cottage on the patio just before the warm days of summer has officially started. I enjoy the quiet early morning
moments when everyone is still sleeping except for me and my dog Pebbles. We sit perfectly still and look at the beautiful scenery, the still
water on the lake and the sound of small animals all around us getting ready for the new day and wish it would last longer. Then I hear a sound,
then another from the cottage and know that someone has woken up. We wait for the door to open and see who it is. The morning silence will now
fade as everyone will wake soon. Finally the door creaks and slowly moves open. I see my husband with 2 mugs in his hands, warm wisps of steam
rising from each mug. He gives me a kiss, says morning to Pebbles, hands me a mug, and then sits beside me enjoying the quiet early morning.

I fell asleep
The last time I was on a patio, I had set my table beautifully for guests, with the umbrella open for shade. It was the kind of umbrella that fit into a hole in the center of the table. A strong gust of wind came up, caught the umbrella and tipped the whole table on its side, catapulting dishes and glassware everywhere. I wish I had a picture of the carnage, but I was too upset to think of it at the time. It’s laughable now.
One time I had a few too many wobbly pops on my deck and fell asleep in the sun and got a vicious sunburn because I didn’t have a sick Velago patio umbrella!
Et bien la dernière fois , il a eu une micro-rafale et tout ce qui restait sur le patio était seulement moi et ma charmante épouse Manon . Alors avant de remettre tout l’ameublement extérieure en place on en a profiter pour repeindre le patio . Finalement la nature nous a donner l’opportunité de repeindre enfin notre patio .

we were lucky to have sunny weather today and went out on the patio to enjoy our dinner in the evening a real treat after a long dreary winter for sure!
The last time I was on a patio, I was taking out a whole platter of watermelon slices. I tripped over my daughters shoe and the whole tray and contents went flying. Laughed it off, and had popcicles instead.
I got too hot! Our patio furniture needs a nice umbrella to go along with it.
Our Deck is a meeting of minds with nature – Our 13 year old cat Prince was born next door – his mother was called Lucky and she did many times. Prince her son was the one left behind and we took him instantly – for months his stray Tabby father would visit and share staring time at our deck door. The other visitors to our deck are blue jays, chimpmunks, squirrels, occasional dog that found a hole in our fence – this umbrella would create the necessary sun block and elegance to a deck that opens up to nature

Last time I was on a nice patio was last summer!! It was a going away party for my friend who was moving to Montreal, not a drop of liquor was left that night… I haven’t made it to any nice patios this year yet. My sad patio in my backyard is getting a complete refresh this year so this umbrella would be an awesome addition.

We couldn’t use an umbrella to spruce up our deck. We have big beautiful trees but they drop a lot of stuff onto our chairs. An umbrella would help the furniture look better.

We just got a new BBQ but we found that we should chage our umbrella beacause we need to keep our table at full length to get our umbrella on our patio, To get more space we should reduc the table and get a new umbrella.

I eat my breakfast everyday on my patio! I’m out there al the time. The last time I was out there, I was planting flowers in pots to put around the patio to “jungle” it up.
Nothing happened , just sat there.
I usually sit on my patio watching my toddler run around the back yard and I’m of brought tokens of her love, a dandelion, a rock, a stick and sometimes a bug *gross* lol
I love it and wouldnt trade those moments for the world but a little shade would definitely make it a little sweeter and more comfortable 🙂
Ma femme étant diabétique et avec les médicaments qu’elle doit prendre ne peut être au soleil trop longtemps.
J’ai un patio mais rien au dessus qui cache le soleil,alors votre cadeau sera très utile par ce que nous pourrions sortir plus souvent dehors et cela lui sera plus bénéfique,pour elle et pour nous, mes petits enfants et ma fille compris.

We just finished building our deck and we have zero fjnds left to block some sun to enjoy it. Love your products….one day we will own one.

mon parasol s’est envolé et s’est accroché aux fils électriques. Ça m.a pris quelques minutes avant que je lève les yeux avant de l’apercevoir. Il est finalement retombé tout seul sans grand dommage mais j’ai grandement besoin d’un modèle plus solide.

A few years ago, we decided to renovate our yard so it was an inviting space for our family and guests, and so we could enjoy our outdoor space as often as possible throughout the year. But we quickly learned that we get a ton of sun in the backyard. Over the past two years we’ve searched for a great patio umbrella to maximize shade, without much luck. We’d love to win this umbrella to make our yard space even more comfortable.
Our deck(patio) was the ideal place to have my ladies get-together a few summers ago. The table was laden with it’s wonderful, tasty looking dishes the ladies helped for the occasion. The umbrella covering the goodies from the sun was all in place too. Then the deck started to creak. Yes, the creaking wasn’t all it did; the deck fell while we were all out on the lawn with a game. We didn’t lose the food but we relocated everything under the shade tree. For sure my husband then agreed the deck needed to be replaced. Well, it is and now needs a new umbrella to set off the new patio, I call a deck.

The last moment I passed on a patio was during the morning. It was the first hot sunny morning and I drunk a coffee with my husband in a beautiful relaxing mood. It was so perfect for starting the day.
